Robert Quiring, MD, is a dermatologist at Soine Dermatology & Aesthetics, serving the Northshore community of Louisiana. With a passion for general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Quiring is excited to bring comprehensive skin care close to home for his patients.

A Lafayette, Louisiana native, Dr. Quiring didn’t always have dermatology in his sights — but once he did, there was no turning back. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University. It wasn’t until late in his college career that exposure to the medical field ignited a passion for patient care that fluid dynamics and thermodynamics simply couldn’t match.

He attended LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans to earn his medical degree. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society during his third year and was recognized as a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, LSUHSC Chapter. These honors reflect both his academic dedication and his commitment to compassionate care. He then completed his dermatology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. During his final year, he served as Cosmetic Chief Resident.

Although residency training brought him briefly to Mississippi, Louisiana has always felt like home. His wife Sydney is a Madisonville native, and the two are excited to plant roots on the Northshore.

When he’s not caring for patients, you’ll likely find Dr. Quiring on the pickleball court, out on a run, or exploring a new brewery (he’ll be the first to tell you Abita Brewery is his personal favorite). He and Sydney love discovering new spots together, often accompanied by their adventurous shih tzu, Archie.
